*Bible Reading:* Matthew 6: 25 – 34
The word “WORRY” means “To be anxious and troubled about somebody or something”…  Other words for worry could be explained as distress, fret, upset, tense, agonize, nervousness etc.

Jesus tells us not to worry about those needs that God promises to supply.

Effects of worry are:

 (1) Sickness and damage one’s health!

 (2) Cause the object of someone’s worry to consume his or her thoughts!

(3) Disrupt your productivity or expected harvest!

(4) Negatively affect the way you treat or relate with others!

 (5) Reduce your ability to trust in or rely on God!

(6) Distraction and abandonment of your vision!
(7) Aggravate frustration and nervousness!

How many of effects of worry are you experiencing?

There is difference between worry and genuine concern – worry immobilizes, but concern moves you to action.

Your worries won’t make things change as expected but would rather cause more damage – while your concern will spur you to perfect planning.

Planning for tomorrow is time well spent; worrying about tomorrow is time wasted. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell the difference. Careful planning is thinking ahead about goals, steps, and schedules, and trusting in God’s guidance.

When done well, planning can help alleviate worry. Worriers, by contrast, are consumed by fear and find it difficult to trust God. They let their plans interfere with their relationship with God. Worries will always make one ignore God’s counsel….

Don’t Let your worries affect your relationship with God anymore. Shalom!!
