The word of God recorded the concept of how faith works as it explained faith as the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The biblical assertion shows the operational system of how faith works. However, the ability to understand the operational system of faith and how faith works revolves around the mastery of the two sides of faith. There are two sides of faith that you must master, if you desire to know how faith works.
1. What brings faith to us?
2. What faith brings to us?
A Christian who wants to be victorious in these last days must master these two sides of faith. We must know what brings faith to us as well as what faith brings to us. Faith can bring healing and visible things to you. Faith can give you a good job. However, you must never come to a place that you think you don’t need God again; a place where you consider it a burden to fast and pray. Never get to a place that you will not use your faith again – you would have effectively replaced God with something else in your life.
Faith can bring things that are visible to you but you must know the things that bring faith. Great faith comes by exercising faith against the challenges of life and developing your muscles of faith. Faith comes as you hear the Word of God, speak the Word of God, meditate on the Word of God, and act on the Word of God; don’t ever stop. God will not allow you to substitute Him with any other thing in life. What faith brings must not disconnect you from activities, actions, and practices that bring faith.
Faith is crucial because our faith is what brings us into the place where we can experience divine results. It is faith that connects you to things that science cannot bring to you. If you are a child of God without the understanding of the subject of faith, you will be walking in the world without divine results.
Nothing in this world is perfectly dependable, only God is perfectly dependable. Salaries have failed many people and will still fail more, but faith in God will never fail. Going to church, listening to the Word of God, and acting according to the Word of God brings faith to you.
Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”. Hearing the Word of God brings faith. Meditation on the Word of God brings faith and faith brings divine results. God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…” When you meditate on God’s Word, it builds a strong faith inside you, and this, in turn, connects you to the rivers of answers and solutions in life.
You must master these two sides of faith and work them well to enlist divine involvement in your life.
