What Is Nurturing?
According to the dictionary, nurturing means to care for and protect (someone or something) while they are growing. The Bible admonished in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. This simply implies that every principle in the Word of God is the most reliable source of wisdom and knowledge to train your child. Have you been experiencing hard times in nurturing the godly seeds God has given you? Through this piece you will have your testimonies, in Jesus name!
One of the reasons God gave you the ability to produce seeds is for you to nurture those seeds to become godly seeds. There is a way each should go and as a godly mother, God has located the huge responsibility of locating and training them to walk through those steps. Remember, when a child is birthed he/she is totally dependent on you to nurture them until they learn to take responsibilities for themselves; this process demands that you abide by biblical principles to ensure they are properly nurtured. The Bible buttressed in Proverbs 29:15 that, The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. As a mother, you have greater influence on your children, no wonder God created a woman as an incubator, and an instructor.
A Woman as A Godly Incubator
God created a woman with unique features that describes her as an incubator; she is tender, her femininity makes her to be irresistible, and she is soft and known as a caregiver. The womb and breasts are two special attributes which link women to their children, every child is carried for a period of 9 months in her mother’s womb and afterwards suckles her breast, this builds a connection for her and her child. Everything given to a woman she incubates; she has been gracefully created by God to incubate. She incubates her child, family and resources. God confided in women a supernatural grace to instill the mind of Christ in the lives of her seeds, she has been graced and when she fails to do her job effectively this will cause her to bemoan her seed, but this will never be your portion, in Jesus name! Every children God has given to you to incubate, you will never lose them, in Jesus name!
For any mother whose child is having any kind of challenge or may have been a challenge to any mother reading this, I declare in the name of Jesus, your seed will bruise the head of the devil and will become the godly ordained seed he/she was created to be, in Jesus name!
A Woman as A Godly Instructor
God created every mother as a godly instructor, to instill the way of the Lord in the lives of their seeds. Very often, it is the mothers who have the time to instruct their children. When the father lashes out his will authoritatively, the mothers instill those instructions to the later, they are always at the verge of correcting every mistake that has been made by the children.
Every mother is naturally gifted as an instructor, she is the first to teach her seed his/her first words and the morals that her seed should follow. Whatever a mother teaches her seed, creates a permanent impression in the heart and mind of the child, and the life of a child from cradle to adulthood revolves around the mother. Whenever a child is hurt or feels pain, the next person they always run to is usually the mother. There are examples of person whom their mother taught them and today they made history.
Examples of Mothers who nurtured their children
Nancy Edison: She was the mother of Thomas Edison the great scientist who invented electric bulb. History has it that Thomas Edison never went to school, he was taught by his mother, who guided him and inspired his interest in science.
Bishop David Oyedepo’s Grandmother: Bishop Oyedepo has it that the grandmother was who nurtured him and ensured that he followed the way of the Lord; today, he is globally celebrated.
Jochebed: She was the mother to Moses, she nurtured and trained him in the way of the Lord that he never forgot his identity even when he found his way to the palace (Exodus 2).
Elizabeth: She knew the destiny of her son and the blessing he is to the world; so, she nurtured him to bring glory to God and maximised his destiny.
Mary: Mary nurtured Jesus and taught Him all about the Word, that at the age of 12 He was already teaching elders.
As a godly mother, you are embodied with the responsibility to nurture every child that God has brought into your bosom, when you fail to nurture your seed, you have failed in the task given to you, but today God will give you the ability to nurture your godly seeds, in Jesus name! Remember, it is only by the strength of God that you can nurture your godly seeds. You cannot perform this function without having a relationship with Jesus; so, I enjoin you to accept Jesus. If you have made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, and become His child; say this simple prayer of faith with me: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You today as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today and grant me the spirit of supplication all the days of my life. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom!
